Custom Character Bracelet

Hi! I’m Angela & my base is in New York City. I began creating bracelets with elastic bands as a child in elementary school. My fellow classmates in 5th grade started their entrepreneurial adventures alongside me. During lunch, my friends & I would host our own flea market with cute trinkets like glittery berets,holographic pencils,hand sanitizer keychains, plus many other trinkets a 10 year old girl could grab from her room. I of course, sold elastic band bracelets. I had the most fun creating different band patterns & adding friendship charms. Seeing the joy on my friend’s face was the greatest payment. I remember turning a huge moon cake box into a portable bracelet display after seeing a lady sell bracelets on the street sidewalk.

In every phase of life, the friends I’ve made along the way have always been excited to rock my handcrafted intricate elastic patterns on their wrist. This craft revisited me in high school during sophomore year, a month before the Covid-19 epidemic caused students, probably you who’s reading this & families to quarantine. Elastic banding bracelets alongside art & graphic design was my artistic escape. It motivated me knowing that I’d see my friends eventually and share my latest bracelet creations with them once lockdown was over. The wait made the experience so much more exciting.

I loved sharing my elastic creations throughout elementary school, high school & now as a present young adult striving to get through College. I had become so consumed with everyday life, I rebuked my artistic spark. Which is something I’d never want to experience again. Artistic burnout isn’t in my vocabulary anymore, my soul’s fire is infinite. Sometimes you need to reignite that flame and rebirth yourself like a Phoenix. Keep shining! Keep being yourself! Keep living in your authenticity! Make time for your aspirations and art. You wouldn’t have that vision if you weren’t meant to live it. Trust yourself & your soul.

My inner child spoke to me one day during a sushi date with my boyfriend, Berat. I mentioned my idea of revisiting loom-banding and sharing my craft beyond my friends & family. What if I could allow people from around the world to experience the elastic band drip on their wrist? To share the lovely experience of gifting your friend, parent, co-worker, partner, teacher, whoever you desire the gift of friendship and partnership. The same way each elastic band interlocks within each-other to create a sturdy flexible piece of jewelry, so is the strength within every bond created. Love cannot be measured, only experienced.

Soon enough, my kind sweet prince purchased me the supplies to put my hands, skills & crochet hook to use! I gifted my first starburst pattern bracelet creation in two years since my last loom arc to my boyfriend as a token of my love which he greatly cherished. His dog Kara ate the second heart loop bracelet I made for him so although it’s not safe to eat for pets, it was pet-approved! Luckily, my man is dating the manufacturer so that was quickly disputed and his wrist was once again was slapped with more Opulent $oul drip!

The gifting to my loved ones didn’t stop there. I’m someone who loves to get in the gift giving spirit regardless of holiday season. While sharing my business venture with my great friend Jasmine, I surprised them with a heart loop bracelet with the Bi-sexual colors to show support for LGBTQ+.

I enjoy expanding on my creativity & creating different themed bracelets based off popular & adored characters, aesthetics & niches!

Making these bracelets are a pleasure & it’s an even greater privilege to see the spark in those who I hold dear to me eyes when receiving them.
